Green-Works wanted to expand their product range. The Access to Finance programme helped them do this, improve their profits, and employ three new staff.

Green-Works - green charity develops new products

Green–Works is a social enterprise and registered charity established in 2000. The environmentally friendly organisation turns redundant office furniture re-usable, while providing work-experience and training for the unemployed.

Through the Access to Finance programme, GKP helped Greenworks access the Designing Demand support provided by Grant Thornton. Greenworks wanted to cost out and raise funds for new product development. They were helped with searching different sources of funding and writing funding applications, which improved their profits while creating additional jobs. After completing the programme, Green- Works were successfully awarded £10k from the big lottery fund.

“Our experience of the A2F programme has been great – it has been flexible, easy and productive – a good use of time and money.  GK Partners understood what we needed and were very creative in interpreting potential solutions; we have received an excellent funding search, a funding development plan, help with writing funding applications and support for our newly appointed fundraiser. We are particularly pleased with the support team that GK Partners introduced us to comprising Grant Thornton who are helping us under the Designing Demand programme and University of East London who are providing a design student and a professor to work with us on implementing the Designing Demand recommendations. In the meantime GK Partners are finding us the funds to bring the projects to fruition.  The work will enable us to improve our profits, increase our social and environmental impacts and create 3 new jobs,” said Colin Crooks, CEO of Green-Works.
