ecoConnect

ecoConnect is a UK green technology (cleantech) support group and advocate. Our mission is to progress the faster and wider adoption of green, low carbon, sustainable technology by providing connections to PEOPLE, INFORMATION, FUNDING, JOBS AND TRAINING. Our audience comprises approximately 2500 businesses and over 100 senior supporters focussed on green technology, either wishing to use it, develop it or invest in it. We bring together investors, companies, academic expertise, entrepreneurs and government agencies focussing on green technology, products and services. Our business support environment comprises: -An online networking community to facilitate engagement with green technology and each other. Green Events: which highlight critical topics, showcases green technology and connects senior members of business and industry. And a number of projects in progress: - A cleantech innovation centre and business accelerator: office space and professional services support for green businesses, such as mentoring, business plan review, funding assistance and access to shared resources such as accounting, marketing, PR, international partnership identification, commercial and legal assistance. - A UK/EU funding advisory desk providing access to public and private connections to funding for green technology businesses. - A green jobs and education portal providing access to green jobs, employers and training providers. Last November we held a Technology Explored event where we showcased a large number of Green technologies for the built environment. A number of Local Authorities attended and it was declared a resounding success. As a consequence, we are looking at the possibility of rolling these out nationally. As a Richmond/Twickenham resident I naturally wanted to communicate this to the the Council and discuss any specific areas to engage which may be of interest. www.eco-connect.com
