man of the match limited

The Man of the Match (MOTM) community website includes the only official voting programme for the UK football 2007/08 season and onwards, where registrants can vote FREE for their own chosen Man of the Match. They must register online at www.manofthematch.net at a cost of £5 each year, before they can vote. Registrations have been FREE for August and September - the £5 charge commenced 1st October. Following on from registration, registrants can either make their free vote online, or opt-in to vote, also free via the MOTM WAP page, with live fixture links direct from the financial arrangement with PA Sport, to 62824 (MATCH). The opt-in costs £1 each fixture, plus network standard charges. Registrants can currently vote for a particular footballer in each of the live English Premiership matches and the footballer with most votes then becomes the selected Man of the Match. A computerised third party random selection is made for a final winner, whose prize is currently £100 cash. More and larger cash prizes, a MOTM Predictor and a Fantasy Man of the Match game, will be released as the season progresses. The new programme went live 13th August, the start of the 2007/08 football season and from 18th voting commenced. Currently registrants are able to vote, chat with others and upload their photos FREE via the internet only. Having now received the MOTM new mobile number for MMS links, MMS videos and registrants comments facility will be available shortly, to be uploaded for £1 each, plus network standard charges. There are currently MOTM produced David Beckham spoof videos online, of which 2 more are yet to be released. In addition, in July 2007, via OFS, a trademark licence agreement was signed off with United Biscuits and Trinity Mirror (MGN), for them to use the text only mark of MOTM, both on pack (50m Jaffa Cakes, KP Nuts and McCoys Crisps) and in the Daily Mirror, during the Rugby World Cup. The licence was agreed at £12500 + a Royalty of 1p each SMS call. The licence runs for 4 months through August to November 2007. The licence, although for little money, having been completed with such large organisations, strengthens the Man of the Match brand and trademark.MOTM is currently negotiating with a UK plc online gaming business, for that company to be granted a 5 year sub licence, for the worldwide trade mark rights of Man of the Match, for gaming only. The licence fee is £25k, plus an annual royalty of 20% of all net gaming revenue and other sub licence/JV fees; with a minimum payment of £25k in each of the 5 years. The draft licence will shortly be with solicitors for finalisation; both parties having agreed the commercial content. Negotiations have also commenced with parties outside the UK, to agree further sub licences for online and SMS voting in Canada for national ice hockey; the USA for baseball (MLB); Australia for Aussie Rules football; Japan for baseball and South Africa for cricket and rugby. It is likely however that sub licences will finally be agreed for any of those regions to include SMS and online voting, for all sports related activities.
