Skyworks is an independent production company specialising in top end High Definition aerial filming. The company has become one of the world's leading HD aerial archives. On the television side, Skyworks produces a range of factual programmes, varying from series about history, landscape and heritage to observational documentaries. Skyworks is a world leader in the production and supply of top-end aerial footage. The company has amassed a large international high-definition archive of gyrostablised aerial footage of exceptional quality. The archive is expanding at a great rate, with massive variety already in both subject matter and locations - much of Europe is already well covered with more territories (and subject matter) constantly being added to the collection. All the footage is filmed at the highest quality - 25 frames "progressive" on HDCAM SR at 1080 4:4:4 - and intercuts seamlessly with 35mm film, as well as downconverting perfectly to lesser formats. Skyworks has produced nearly 100 factual programmes for international broadcasters, including the BBC, ITV and Discovery.
