Following the highly successful panel discussion about the new 360°
deals in the music industry in March, we are now discussing the future
of music contracts and opportunities for new business models. So-called
360° contracts refer to agreements where the label is asking for a
share in all areas of a musician's income from record sales to touring
and merchandising. Yet these deals only represent one – although highly
controversial – business model that has evolved from the resent slump
in record sales effecting big labels.
